The Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (CBMW) has posted their initial response to the revised New International Version [NIV(2011)]. The response begins with some some compliments for the changes in the NIV(2011) from the Today’s New International Version (TNIV). But ultimately the CBMW does not recommend using the NIV (2011).
I do appreciate that the tone of the CBMW statement is positive. And I hope that the dialog continues in this direction. This will be a test of Christian charity for people on all sides.
